The back of the shoe is kind of high and it bothered my son. I don’t know it might have been better after you broke them in but we didn’t wait to see. Returned it.

This shoe was too big in the heel for my son. The length was ok. Because the shoe did not fit, I cannot respond to the wear of this shoe.

My sons wore these all summer long. His only complaint (and this would be for all sandals) was when rocks got in his shoe. Well made, sturdy and last a long time.

Not durable. Heel worn through, toe cap peeling, fabric worn through. Just replaced the Velcro to see if we can get through the summer.

My 5.5-year old son absolutely loved these sandals when they arrived. They fit perfectly and he said they were so gotta me after running around the house for a few minutes. Fast forward to later that morning, and he wears them outside for ten minutes and a blister starts to form on the back of his heel. Clearly a problem. Thankfully Zappos has amazing customer service and issued a refund immediately. I will donate the shoes and hopefully they don’t cause the same issue for someone else.

My son has a narrow foot & heel and a small ankle, making it difficult to find closed-toe active sandals that don’t rip up his skin. These run a medium width and the shoe can fit in a more customizable way for narrow feet than Keens (which are usually the only brand available).
