I was curious about these boots because I have been looking for a dark brown leather boot that is waterproof. I almost always wear a size 9, and the 9 in this fit well (I wear a size 40 in Naot, but an 8.5 in Calla shoes. I have bunions, and the toe area of these boots fit well and looked good. My ankles and calves are thin, and the shaft had room to spare. I could wear thicker socks with these. I only returned them because there was an odd nick on the front of the left toe, but this might just be an odd exception because I have always been pleased with Zappos’ quality. I might buy it again later, but I wanted to check to see if the same dark brown color would come out in a traditional leather boot. This one is a suede-like material, and so it has a little more of a casual quality. I was hoping for something I could dress up and down for work. I really do like the heel on the shoe (not to high, but a little something).

I ordered a 10 and they felt a full size small to me. I loved the look of these but didn’t like that they were so small, or that the toe was tilted up so much. Otherwise they seemed like very high quality boots, just not for me!

These boots are exactly what I have been looking for. I usually wear an 8 and the fit is perfect and allows for insoles (recommended! I wore them for a bar shift and after walking around for 8 hours the balls of my feet were very tender) and wool socks.

Ordered my usual size (EU 40) and these are a full size too small. I may reorder a size larger but they also don’t have the arch support I need. They look nice though and fit well around the ankle. Zipper’s a little tricky.

I ordered these in both a 7 and 8 as they had no half sizes. The 7 was the best fit but still felt as if I could’ve used a bit more room. They may have even stretched out a bit after a few wears. But the toe area shape wasn’t what I was looking for. The toe was a bit to upturned for my taste. Not bad but not entirely to my liking.

I love the idea of this boot, but it’s not comfortable which is a real shame. The insole is very hard, almost nonexistent. To make it work, you’d have to order up a size and purchase a really good insole. But at this price point, that’s silly. It’s like paying for a nice car but having to buy the seats separately. I wear a 6.5 and ordered a 7, and my toes go all the way to the end. Another problem was the top of the boot rubbed my ankle, but I have that problem with a lot of booties. The search for a waterproof bootie that’s actually comfortable (and reasonably priced) continues.

I love these boots. They’re comfortable and versatile. However, after wearing them for a season (maybe once a week or even every other week – Florida, what can I say?!) the wood-look banding along the heel is starting to peel off. It’s probably not that noticeable when I’m wearing them but the fact that it’s happening has cheapened them for me.

I was thrilled to find Chelsea style boots that zip! The quality and style are solid, but they didn’t fit me right. Everything seemed to hit in the wrong places, especially the arches. They’re nice boots, just didn’t work for me.
