Definitely not fashionable, purely functional – and I love them.
Worn in single digit temps with wool socks, and my toes were toasty. Trudged through snow/slush with thin socks and the lower legs and feet stayed dry.
I went with my usual size 8 and, at first, I thought they fit too big, but realized they were just roomy enough to give you the option of wearing thick socks – going down to a 7 would have hugged my feet a tad too closely.
Perhaps I would have gone down a half size, if that option was available.
I would highly recommend, especially at the sale price.

I’ve had this style snow boot by Kamik for 20 years now! They are the best functional boots I’ve ever had! Comfy and warm!

Tried on several types of cold weather boots including Sorel and North Face and found this boot to be the best fit for me. It is true to size, the lacing at the ankle helps give a custom and secure fit and it is wider in the calf area which helps me be able to tuck in winter pants. So far proved to be very warm, although I’ll update when I’ve been in deep snow.

My husband and I both got these boots. For the price especially, they’re excellent!!
They ran big for me so I needed to return and reorder a size bigger. Keep feet toasty and dry.
Can wear over or under snow pants. The only negative I can see is the laces when cinched are quite long. I tied both sets together, and that solved the problem. Love ’em!

These boots are awesome. I use them snowmobiling. They truly are very warm and comfortable. Great in the snow! The size seems true to fit.

I was going to purchase The North Face boots for a lot of money that were a close match to these boots. At the last second I thought I’d give this brand a try. With free shipping on returns, why not, for half the price. I’m happy with the boots. They are light weight, easy to slip into and sturdy. I’m using them for winter camping, snowshoeing.

This boot means business! I like so many things about it, but I find it too darn narrow through the mid-foot area. Weird! Sending it back.

I love these boots! I am a 6.5 and I ordered a 6. They are just a little big so I wear thick socks and they are perfect. I have gotten so much use out of these with all the snow this year and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them. They keep my feet very warm and I can get them on and off very easily. I love the adjustable laces that make them fit tight against my leg so no cold air gets in. All in all love them!

I was looking for a winter boot that was warm, tall, waterproof and skid proof. Kamik Canuck fit the bill and were affordable to boot. (Pun intended.) These are great for those crazy NYC winters; with slush, and snow and ice laying around, waiting for the city to finally get around cleaning it up. Use the cords to tighten or loosen and at first I was afraid they’d be too big and tie top and bottom together. Easy peas. They are warmer than they look and there is a red lining on the inside that you can’t see. I bought black and whites would turn gray by the end of the day and am very satisfied with my purchase.

Living in Minnesota during one of the snowiest winters ever, and being a volunteer dog walker, I needed some really good snow boots. I didn’t want to spend a lot on boots that were just going to get slushy and dirty. I found these and decided to give them a try. They are very warm and good in the snow/slush. They are a little clunky and stiff, but after a while you get used to them. If you are looking for a good durable snow boot and aren’t so concerned about style, and these are a great boot!

I GOT THE BOOTS just in time! WE had the blizzard of 2011! We got 20 inches of snow…drifts much deeper! I put on my new boots, pulled the drawstring and boldly jumped into anything and everything. The snow was over the boots but I didn’t get snow inside.
They are great! I will wear thick warm socks if I am going to be outside longer. GREAT BOOTS! Love the WHITE!

The boots are great. I sold Christmas trees for 10 hours in 25* weather and my feet never got cold and they were also comfortable.

I like the simple design (no tongue) and they are very easy to cinch down, but I found I had too much movement of my foot up and down in this boot. Runs larger than other Kamik boots I tried. I like that they are made in the US rather than China like Sorel.

This is my 4th order (that I can think of) from Zappos. I ordered these at 7:00 p.m. and got them the next day by noon. Unbelievable! I am a 10.5 and ordered size 11 and the boots fit just perfect (with regular socks). I have not worn them for an extensive period of time because I just received them but they seem very comfy as all of the other shoes I have gotten from Zappos.com are. Another great purchase from Zappos!

I ordered these boots around midnight last night and they were on my doorstep when I got home around 2:00 PM today, as always, Zappos is absolutely amazing! Sadly, these boots are being returned because they were much too big on my size 11 feet, the size I ordered. I think they are very cute and warm, so I may try ordering a size down. They were quite clunky when I stepped, I am assuming because they were too big for me in general.

Based on reviews saying these run large, I ordered a 9 (I’m a solid 9.5 Wide); just a bit too snug. Since there is free shipping both ways I decided to try the Woman’s 10B width and the Man’s 8D wider width. All three sizes are sloppy in the heel as others have said. I decided the Man’s size was too sloppy overall so am going with the 10 Woman’s. After all that I notice the liner in the 10 is marked size 9. Yes, the boot is marked 10 and the liner 9! So either quality control issues or some other customer customized a pair of boots? Overall, I would say the fit runs true to size. Very easy on and off. Lightweight for this type of boot, but sloppy in the heel as mentioned.

These boots are definitely big in the heels! I am a size 10B so I ordered a 10. But I am going to keep them since they have the most room in the front for my toes. I will just have to find the thickest pair of socks out there and that will help. Great Zappos service, they were at my door in two days!

Too wide/big for me. I am 6’2″ and wear a size 11 womens shoe. However, I have an overall narrow foot and a very narrow heel. The size 11 in this boot worked for the length, but my foot slid around in it width-wise. Shaft was so large I could not get the bungee cords tight enough…shaft literally had to fold over on itself to be tight enough. They seemed sturdy and waterproof, by appearance, though, and may be a great boot for those with wide feet or legs.

These are great boots. I bit bulky but I knew that when I purchased them. They keep my feet nice and warm and are tall enough that no snow gets in them even while sledding and playing in the yard with the kids. They are a little hard to move in and that’s why I gave them 4 stars.

These are very nice looking boots. They are not comfortable at all. I am sending them back. The inside padding is not good.

Very, very warm, great for serious snow and cold weather. Not super for arch support, but if that’s not necessary for you, this is a great boot.

This is the second pair of Canucks I’ve purchased and I find them to be excellent boots for snow and cold. They fit true to size for me (I bought size 7, and my normal show size is US 7 1/2, European 38) and have room for thick socks if needed. I especially like this style because of the lacing at the ankle, which is quick and convenient. I would recommend these boots to anyone who needs to stay warm in sub-zero temperatures and would certainly buy them again.
Brooks –
The less than favorable reviews of this boot doesn’t do this boot justice! These are good quality boots. They are warm, well made and cost must less other brands for basically the same boot. This boot holds up very well in cold wet weather. I ordered a 10B by the size chart then returned them for a 9B. I normally wear a 9B and should have order a 9B, which is my fault for going by reviews saying these run small. Zappos customer service was so kind in helping with exchanging them for me. THIS BOOT DOES RUN TRUE TO SIZE AND WIDTH.

THESE BOOTS ARE FANTASTIC. I live in Minnesota and have Raynauds (even a slight drop in temps gets my toes all blood-less and numb) and am always frustrated with snow getting into my ankle-high boots while I trudge around and brush snow off my car. These boots look clunky, and they are of course bulkier than a hiking boot or perhaps a sleeker tall snow boot, but honestly I would wear these as my everyday winter walking shoe they are so comfortable. There is some give in the foot bed/tread, so it’s not like walking on a plank of wood. And they are so so warm. I have yet to try them in super cold weather, but in 15 degrees my feet did not feel a chill ONCE. I felt confident driving in them too– I just had to adjust my seat slightly and get used to the larger amount of material between my foot and the pedal. My foot size lands between a women’s 7.5 and 8, and I got the 8. They were on the roomier side but my foot wasn’t slipping around– I stuck with the 8’s because you can tighten the front down and I like having room for socks and not feeling too constricted. I was deciding between these and the more pricier, fashion-conscious sorels, and I’m glad I went with these. I will worship the ugliest boot as long as it is warm and comfortable (and this boot is quite beautiful, I think).

I’ve worn another popular brand of winter boots for years, but found that their quality has declined recently. These Kamiks are still made in Canada and are of highest quality and workmanship. They are quite lightweight for a bulky pac boot, but are incredibly warm, and I love how they look, too! They also have a nice, aggressive tread. You will not be disappointed with these.
